It is an Ember Inn so has the usual good standard of service and food. The bar gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights and there are often no seats available despite it being a fairly big pub.
One annoying thing is that the quiz machine is situated far too close to a table so you cannot play without being elbowed by people at the table. It is also quite a walk to the toilets upstairs.
They have started doing 1/3 pint samplers which is a nice idea. They also seem to have events on at Halloween etc although they weren't actually serving the cocktails advertised on the door!!
